ARCHIVE

DOCUMENTARY PHOTOGRAPHY

The photographs gathered here were made while producing documentaries, conducting interviews, visiting archives, and traveling in search of stories. The Galleries remain a work in progress that would be accesible to everyone.

Organized by project, these galleries offer a visual record of Heritage Film Project’s ongoing work. They complement the films and essays published throughout this website, revealing the process behind each production and preserving images that often remain unseen after a documentary is completed.

All photographs are by Eduardo Montes-Bradley unless otherwise noted. They are presented here as part of a growing documentary archive spanning more than two decades of independent filmmaking in the United States, Latin America, and Europe.

THE PICCIRILLI FACTOR

Production Photography & Documentary Archive

This gallery traces the making of The Piccirilli Factor, from the marble quarries of Carrara to the monuments of Washington and New York. It brings together production stills, location photography, archival discoveries, portraits of artists and historians, and selected historical images documenting the remarkable legacy of the Piccirilli Brothers—the master carvers whose work helped shape the monumental landscape of the United States.
