The Work Goes On
Help us bring Joy's documentary into the classrooms, libraries, and cultural centers around the world.
Joy Brown has spent four decades shaping clay and bronze into figures that speak across cultures — from her studio in Connecticut to the mountains of Japan to the workshops of Shanghai. Nearly 350 people filled an auditorium in Kent, Connecticut to see our film about her work. Many had never seen a documentary film about a living artist. That evening is what the Documentary Film Fund exists to make possible.
We produce documentary films that recover neglected stories — artists, composers, architects, cultures — and deliver them free of charge to schools, academic and public libraries, universities, and cultural institutions across the United States and abroad. Every dollar you give goes directly to the distribution of The Art of Joy Brown. Help us meet our goal.
