"Saavedra: Between Berlin and a Place Named Peixoto" is a biographical sketch on Brazilian writer Carola Saavedra. Filmed in Berlin where Saavedra lived for a prolonged period, and in Rio the Janeiro where the Chilean born writer settle with her parents at a very early age, the film explores the relationship between author and context in a path of profound displacement, her early literary influences, and her perception of the surrounding in Peixoto, the neighborhood in Rio de Janeiro where she had lived as a child and where she returns in an attempt to establish more permanent roots.
